About this rug
Varang's gold eyes and red facial markings were the inspiration for this keyboard rug. I wanted the blue portrait to keep those smaller shapes clearly placed, because they're such a strong part of the face. The close-up gives the gaze room to remain visible between the markings.
I tuft each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn. Once the tufting is finished, I carefully trim and carve around the eyes and red lines. Those boundaries need attention so the different colours stay distinct across the soft surface.
Varang's gold eyes have a lot to say in this close-up. I wanted the red markings to keep their place around them, so you can enjoy the smaller portrait details too. The face can have a little space beside your keyboard as the character artwork you chose for your own setup. This version measures approximately 44 × 16 cm and works as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Measure the available space first. A little mouse rug can be selected separately as an extra.
