About this rug
SpongeBob's eyes and that bright yellow face were what inspired this keyboard rug. I wanted the expression to stay cheerful when it became a long, narrow portrait, with enough room for those big blue eyes to do their thing. It's a face you can recognise without much introduction.
I tuft each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, then carefully trim and carve the outlines. The details around the eyes need to stay clear because they carry so much of the expression.
A little SpongeBob beside your keyboard can make the whole desk feel less serious. That was the idea behind using this cheerful close-up: you get those familiar eyes right where you'll notice them between tasks. He looks quite ready to keep you company while you type. You can use it as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Choose Standard or Compact after checking the space on your desk. The small mouse rug is an optional extra selected separately.
