About this rug
Jake's face felt like a good fit for a keyboard rug. It's wide, simple and easy to recognise, and I wanted to keep that relaxed expression when I worked it in yarn. The rounded muzzle is the part that holds the whole face together.
I tuft each Jake rug by hand from premium acrylic yarn. There are only a few facial details, which makes their placement important: a small change around the eyes or nose can change the expression. I carefully finish the outlines so the face stays clear in the soft yellow surface.
Jake has a reassuringly relaxed face to have near a keyboard. I wanted to keep the expression that makes him feel familiar, even when the rug is just part of your ordinary workday. He doesn't need a whole scene around him to bring a little Adventure Time to the desk. Use it as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard, with Standard and Compact sizes listed below. Measure the available space before selecting one. A small mouse rug can be chosen separately if you'd like the extra piece.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
