About this rug
Jerry's smile gave me a good reason to make a raised face in this keyboard rug. I wanted the little portrait to sit above the brown shaggy yarn, with the expression easy to see among the longer pile. The actual depth is part of what gives this version its character.
I tuft each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, keeping the surrounding surface shaggy. The eyes and mouth need careful placement on the raised face so the smile stays clear. You can see that difference in height in the side views as well as the overhead photos.
Jerry's little face gets some actual height above the brown yarn in this version. That gives you more to enjoy when you look at the rug from the side. I wanted the portrait to keep the cheeky smile, so he can bring a little cartoon company to the keyboard. The approximate size is 44 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check that space before ordering. A small mouse rug can be selected separately as an extra.
