About this rug
Cookie Monster felt like a good character for a shaggy keyboard rug. I wanted his blue fur to have real texture, with the round white eyes and black smile still easy to see. The longer yarn gives this face a finish that suits the character straight away.
I tuft each piece by hand using premium acrylic yarn and keep the blue surface shaggy. The eyes and mouth need their own clear shapes among the longer pile, so I take care around those details as I finish the face. This is the actual loose texture you see in the close-up photos.
Cookie Monster looks very comfortable in all that blue texture. The little cookie extra makes a rather suitable companion if you choose it. I wanted the main rug to keep the familiar face and fuzzy look, so he can be part of your desk without losing his expression. Use it as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard, with Standard and Compact choices listed below. Measure your desk space first. Want the little cookie mouse rug too? Select it separately as an optional extra.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: cookie mouse rug (selected separately).
