About this rug
Towelie's face felt like a good design to try in blue shaggy yarn. I wanted to keep that slightly spaced-out expression, with the little red eye details still visible inside the texture. The portrait's small, but it gives the whole rug its familiar mood.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn and keep the surrounding blue pile shaggy. The eyes and facial lines need careful placement so they remain readable among the loose yarn. The result has the actual longer surface you can see in the close-up photos.
Towelie looks a little distracted, even by desk companion standards. The blue shaggy texture helps the familiar little face feel at home in the rug. I wanted that slightly spaced-out expression to stay visible, so a South Park fan can enjoy the joke whenever they return to the keyboard. Use it as a soft wrist rest in front of your keyboard, choosing Standard or Compact after checking the measurements below. The little mouse rug is an optional extra selected separately.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
