About this rug
Zim's snarling expression made me want to try this face in yarn. I wanted the white teeth to stay clearly placed in the portrait, with the purple background giving the whole close-up a strong colour. The mouth is doing quite a lot of the character work here.
I hand-tuft each rug using premium acrylic yarn. After tufting, I carefully carve around the teeth, eyes and mouth lines so the small shapes stay distinct.
Zim looks as though he's about to announce a fairly important plan. I wanted the rug to keep that very toothy expression, because it's so much of the portrait's personality. He can join your desk setup as a small Invader Zim reference with quite a lot of attitude. Use it as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard, choosing Standard or Compact after checking the measurements below. The little mouse rug is an optional extra selected separately.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
