About this rug
Chuckie's purple glasses gave me the detail to build this Shaggy keyboard rug around. I wanted the orange hair to have actual texture, with the smiling face clearly visible inside it. The longer yarn suits the wild-haired look of the character.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, keeping the orange pile shaggy around the portrait. The glasses and facial details have a raised finish, so the design has depth as well as colour. I take care with their placement to keep the expression readable among the loose yarn.
The purple glasses are Chuckie's little introduction, with the orange hair giving him plenty of texture around the face. I wanted both to remain part of the rug. He can have a place beside the keyboard where you can enjoy the raised details from above and from the side. The approximate size is 44 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check that space first. The little mouse rug is a separately selected extra if you'd like it too.
