About this rug
I wanted this Do Epic Shit keyboard rug to keep the message easy to read. The pink letters sit against black, with the little stars giving the design a few extra shapes around the words. The wording is direct, so the lettering needs to be clear too.
I make each piece by hand using premium acrylic yarn. After tufting, I carefully refine the letter edges and small star points. Keeping the spaces inside and between the letters defined gives the raised pink shapes a readable finish across the soft surface.
The phrase is waiting right where you'll see it when you sit down to work. I wanted the pink letters and little stars to keep the message playful, even when the wording is fairly blunt. You can decide what today's epic thing is going to be while the rug supplies the reminder. The approximate size is 44 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check the space before ordering. The little mouse rug is an optional extra selected separately.
