About this rug
The web pattern was the part I wanted to work carefully in this Spider-Man keyboard rug. The red mask and white eyes are familiar on their own, but the smaller black lines give the portrait its detail. The blue-and-white background leaves room around the face.
I tuft each rug by hand from premium acrylic yarn, then trim and carve along the web lines and eye shapes. Some of those boundaries are quite narrow, so I work around them carefully to keep the pattern readable. The finished piece has a soft Fluffy surface with the mask defined in it.
The web lines are worth a closer look when the rug is on your desk. I wanted the handmade mask to keep those little details, because they make Spider-Man feel like himself. You can have a familiar bit of the suit nearby while you get on with your own day. This version measures approximately 45 × 15 cm. Check the space in front of your keyboard before ordering; the rug works there as a wrist rest. The little mouse rug is an optional extra, selected separately.
