About this rug
Sulley's fur gave me a good reason to use shaggy yarn. I wanted the turquoise surface to have real texture, with the purple spots and little horns keeping their familiar shapes. The smile still needs to be clear in the middle of all that colour and pile.
I make each keyboard rug by hand from premium acrylic yarn, leaving the surrounding turquoise surface shaggy. The spots and facial features need attention so they stay visible among the longer yarn. The texture is part of the actual finished piece you can see in the close-up photos.
Sulley's smile seems quite comfortable among all that turquoise texture. I wanted the little horns and purple spots to stay part of the face, so the rug keeps the character's familiar look. A Monsters, Inc. fan can give him a shaggy little place among their everyday desk things. Choose Standard or Compact after checking the measurements below against your desk. The rug works as a soft wrist rest in front of the keyboard. A little mouse rug can be selected separately as an extra.
