About this rug
The spiky shape is what made me want to try Tyranitar in a keyboard rug. I wanted those angles to remain visible around the green portrait, with the orange background giving them enough space. The character's silhouette is an important part of recognising this one.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn. The pointed edges and small facial lines need care when I tuft and finish them, because the yarn softens the surface while the design still needs its angular shape. I carefully refine the colour boundaries to keep both parts together.
Tyranitar's angles are part of what makes the face so satisfying to recognise. I wanted the rug to keep them, so the portrait still feels like your Pokémon when it's among your desk things. Give the little close-up a spot where you can see its whole shape. The approximate size is 45 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Measure that space before ordering. A Poké Ball mouse rug is available as a separate option if you'd like the extra piece.
