About this rug
Tatsumaki's green hair gives this close-up a strong outline. I wanted the curls to frame the eyes without losing the expression underneath, because the gaze is such a big part of the portrait. The keyboard rug shape leaves room for both the hair and those smaller facial lines.
I tuft each piece by hand using premium acrylic yarn. Once the tufting is finished, I carefully refine the edges around the eyes and hair. Curves need attention just like straight lines do; keeping them clear helps the face stay familiar in the soft surface.
Tatsumaki has a fairly determined gaze underneath those curls. I wanted both the hair and expression to keep their place in the rug. She can join your desk as a little character portrait, close enough for you to enjoy the smaller lines when you pause between tasks. This version measures approximately 45 × 16 cm and works as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check the available space before ordering. The little mouse rug is a separate option if you'd like both pieces.
