About this rug
I was inspired by Stitch's big eyes and curious little face. I wanted to make a keyboard rug that kept that expression, with the blue nose clearly defined between the eyes. The long shape gives the portrait room without needing to add a whole scene around him.
I tuft each Stitch rug by hand using premium acrylic yarn. Then I trim and carve around the eyes and nose, taking care with the narrow colour boundaries. This version has the soft, defined surface of the Fluffy designs, so the detail comes from the outlines worked into the yarn.
Stitch has the sort of face you keep looking back at, especially those eyes. I wanted him to have a place among the things you use every day, close enough to enjoy the expression while you're at your desk. He brings plenty of personality to a fairly small space. Place it in front of your keyboard as a wrist rest and choose the size that suits the space you have. Standard and Compact are both listed below. Want the small mouse rug from the photos as well? Select it separately as an optional extra.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
