About this rug
Riley's expression made me want to work on this portrait. I wanted the eyes and mouth to keep their attitude, with the braided hair framing the face on yellow. In a close-up like this, you have enough room to notice the smaller lines that make the character himself.
I tuft each keyboard rug by hand from premium acrylic yarn, then refine the facial outlines. The hair also has small sections that need care so the shape stays readable.
Riley's expression looks as though he has something to say about your plans. I wanted to keep that attitude in the portrait, because it's so much of what makes the face familiar. He can join your desk setup as a small Boondocks reference you'll actually see every day. You can use it as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Standard and Compact sizes are available, with the exact listed measurements below. Choose the little mouse rug separately if you want it as well.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
