About this rug
Plankton's one enormous eye gave me the starting point for this keyboard rug. I wanted it to take up enough room in the portrait to keep his expression, with the open mouth giving him that familiar little-villain look. The turquoise background lets the face stay clear across the long shape.
I tuft each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, then carefully trim around the smaller outlines. The eye and mouth need clean edges so the expression still reads once everything is made from yarn. It's a soft Fluffy surface, with the facial details defined through the finishing work.
Plankton is taking up rather more space here than he usually gets. I wanted his one big eye to have its moment, with the expression doing the rest. If you enjoy the little villain's confidence, he can bring quite a lot of it to your desk. You can use the rug as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. It measures approximately 44 × 16 cm, so check the space on your desk first. A small mouse rug is available as a separate option if you'd like the extra piece.
