About this rug
Nyan Cat's rainbow was the detail I wanted to keep moving through this keyboard rug. The grey pixel cat and pink pastry body give the meme its familiar shape, with the blue background leaving room for the trail. There is a lot of colour packed into a little scene.
I hand-tuft each piece from premium acrylic yarn, then carefully refine the edges of the smaller pixel shapes. The straight lines matter here because they keep the reference looking like itself. The rainbow colours need their own clear boundaries too, so the whole design stays readable in yarn.
The rainbow is already on its way across your desk. I wanted Nyan Cat to keep that cheerful pixel scene, with the little pastry body still part of the picture. It's a familiar bit of internet humour to have nearby when you pause between games, messages and everything else. The approximate size is 45 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check the space first, and select the little mouse rug separately if you want the optional extra.
