About this rug
The wrapped lines in Moon Knight's mask were the inspiration for this keyboard rug. I wanted to keep their layered look in the cream-and-black portrait, because those lines give the face its whole shape. There is a lot going on in what first looks like a simple mask.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn. After tufting, I carefully refine the boundaries between the wraps so the smaller sections stay separate. That finishing stage matters here: the portrait depends on the lines remaining clear across the soft surface.
Moon Knight's mask gives you more to notice the closer you look. I wanted the wrapped lines to remain part of the handmade face, even in this small desk piece. It's a way to keep that particular costume detail close while you're at the keyboard. It measures approximately 45 × 16 cm and works as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check the space before ordering, and select the little mouse rug separately if you want the optional extra.
