About this rug
DoodleBob is a fun character to recreate because the drawing is supposed to look a little awkward. I wanted to keep the uneven eyes and wobbly expression in this keyboard rug. Making every part too tidy would lose the face that made me want to use him in the first place.
I make the rug by hand from premium acrylic yarn, keeping the black drawing clear against the white. The green spots are worked into the design too. When I finish the surface, I follow the original shapes so the outline stays readable and the slightly odd expression stays with it.
DoodleBob would lose some of his charm if the drawing suddenly became perfectly polite. I wanted the rug to keep that awkward little face you remember. It's a desk piece for someone who enjoys the stranger jokes, including a character who looks thoroughly pleased with his own scribbles. The rug gives your wrists a soft resting place in front of the keyboard. Choose Standard or Compact after checking your desk space. The small mouse rug is a separate extra, so select it if you want both pieces.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
