About this rug
Ace's orange hat is such a useful detail for a close-up portrait. I wanted to keep enough of it in this keyboard rug to introduce the face, while leaving room for the smile underneath. The long shape lets the hat and expression stay together without needing the rest of the figure.
I hand-tuft the rug from premium acrylic yarn and refine the lines after the yarn is in place. Around the hat and face, small colour boundaries need particular care so the expression stays clear. I finish the surface as a soft Fluffy design, with the details worked into the portrait.
The hat makes Ace feel close even in a cropped portrait. I wanted to keep that feeling when the design became something for your desk. If he's the character you look for in your fan collection, this is a way to have the familiar face among the things you use. It measures approximately 45 × 18 cm and is intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check your available space first. The small mouse rug is a separate option if you'd like both pieces.
