About this rug
Gloomy Bear's pink face has a very particular mix of cute and unsettling details. I wanted the white snout and red marks to stay clearly visible, because they're the parts that give this portrait its character. The long rug shape leaves enough room around the face.
I hand-tuft each piece from premium acrylic yarn, then carefully trim and carve around the snout and smaller facial lines. The colour boundaries need attention to keep those details separate in the soft surface.
Gloomy Bear's face is sweet at first glance, with those red details waiting for you to notice. I wanted the rug to keep that slightly unsettling character. If you enjoy cute designs with a darker sense of humour, the portrait can have a small place among your desk things. The rug works as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Standard and Compact sizes are listed below, so check the space before choosing. The little mouse rug is an optional extra selected separately.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
