About this rug
I wanted to try Hello Kitty's simple face with a real shaggy surface. The little yellow nose and black whiskers remain the familiar details, while the longer white yarn changes the texture around them. You can recognise the face even when its outline is much fuzzier.
I hand-tuft each piece using premium acrylic yarn and keep the white pile shaggy. The small facial shapes need their own clear space among the loose yarn, so I take care with their placement. This is the 3D Shaggy version shown in the photos, with texture in the surface itself.
Hello Kitty gets a different surface to live in here, with real long-pile texture around those simple features. The little nose and whiskers still make the face feel familiar. I wanted a fan to have both the character and the shaggy finish to enjoy close to the keyboard. The approximate size is 44 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Measure that area before ordering. The little mouse rug is a separate optional extra.
