About this rug
Tom's face felt right for a Shaggy keyboard rug. I wanted the grey yarn to have the texture of the character's fur, with the yellow eyes and raised facial shapes staying easy to see. The extra depth gives this version something you notice in the side views too.
I tuft each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, keeping the grey pile long around the face. The raised details need careful placement so the expression stays clear among the loose texture. The 3D finish is part of the surface itself, with the familiar cat face built into it.
Tom's face gets real texture in this version, so there's something to enjoy from the side as well as above. The yellow eyes keep their place inside the grey yarn. I wanted the rug to bring a little of that familiar cartoon expression into your everyday desk setup. The approximate size is 44 × 16 cm, intended as a soft wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Measure the space first. A little mouse rug can be chosen separately as an extra.
