About this rug
Red's angry eyebrows were the detail I wanted to keep in this shaggy keyboard rug. The yellow beak gives the face another clear shape, and the longer red yarn makes the feather colour part of the surface. He still looks thoroughly unimpressed, which is exactly how fans know him.
I tuft each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, keeping the red pile shaggy around the face. The brow and beak details need their own space among the loose yarn, so I take care with how they sit in the design. The texture you see is part of the actual finished rug.
Red has very strong feelings about something, judging by those eyebrows. The shaggy surface gives the bird's colour actual texture while the expression keeps its familiar mood. An Angry Birds fan can put him beside the keyboard and let him look thoroughly unimpressed on your behalf. This version has the listed Standard size of 44 × 16 cm. Check that space in front of your keyboard, where the rug works as a wrist rest. The little mouse rug is an optional extra selected separately.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size option: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
