About this rug
King Pig's snout made me want to try a raised face in this keyboard rug. I wanted the nose to have actual height above the green yarn, with the eyes clearly visible behind it. The shape gives the character a very recognisable, slightly ridiculous expression.
I make each piece by hand using premium acrylic yarn, keeping the green pile shaggy around the raised snout. The facial details need to stay readable among the longer yarn, so I work carefully around their positions. This is a 3D Shaggy design with texture and height in the surface itself.
King Pig's nose gets to stand out quite literally in this version. The raised shape makes the portrait fun to see from the side as well as above. I wanted the little face to keep that ridiculous expression, so he can bring some Angry Birds humour to your desk. Standard and Compact sizes are listed below for the space in front of your keyboard, where the rug serves as a wrist rest. Measure that area before choosing. The little mouse rug can be selected separately as an extra.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
