About this rug
Appa felt like a lovely character to make with a properly shaggy surface. I wanted the cream yarn to have a loose, fuzzy texture around his face, while the brown arrow, horns and raised eyes kept that familiar expression. The extra depth gives you a little more of the character to enjoy when you look from the side.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn, leaving the cream pile long in this Shaggy version. The facial details need careful placement so the eyes and arrow stay visible among the yarn. I take time with that finishing work; the face should still feel like Appa when you're looking down at all the texture.
The idea was to bring a little of that gentle character to the place where you spend time each day. He can keep you company during work, games or a quiet moment away from the screen. The approximate size is 44 × 16 cm, used as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check the space before ordering, and select the small mouse rug separately if you'd like the optional extra.
