About this rug
I wanted this Skeleton Kitty rug to keep the cute cat-shaped outline while giving the inside of the design a darker feel. Purple and black work around the skeletal details, and the red skull bow is the little finishing touch that ties the face together.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn. Raised sections give this design its 3D finish, so the surface has different levels as well as different colours. I take care to keep the smaller lines visible around those raised areas, then finish the outside edge around the character.
The approximate size is 88 cm. You can use the piece as a floor rug or display it on a wall as textile art. Measure your intended space before ordering. This kitty has a sweet outline and some much darker details waiting inside it. I wanted you to be able to enjoy the whole shape first, then notice the skeletal lines and the bow up close. It suits a room where cute and slightly spooky already belong together.
