About this rug
Totoro's big grin was what inspired this keyboard rug. I wanted to give it enough space across the face, with the round eyes sitting clearly above it. There's something friendly about that expression, and it felt like a good one to recreate in a soft piece for the desk.
I make each rug by hand using premium acrylic yarn. The white smile needs a clear outline against the brown surface, so I carefully finish around it after tufting. This version is a Fluffy design, with the details defined in the soft surface you see in the photos.
Totoro's grin is a cheerful thing to have in front of a keyboard. I wanted the rug to keep the friendly look that makes you stop and smile at the face. It can be a little part of your own corner, whether you're working through messages or settling in for a game. Standard and Compact are the listed size choices. Measure the space in front of your keyboard, where the rug serves as a wrist rest, before selecting one. The small mouse rug is an optional extra chosen separately.
- Material: premium acrylic yarn; hand-tufted.
- Use: soft wrist rest in front of a keyboard.
- Size options: Standard 44 × 16 cm (17.3 × 6.3 in) or Compact 32 × 16 cm (12.6 × 6.3 in).
- Optional extra: small mouse rug (selected separately).
