About this rug
Zero Two's pink hair gave this close-up its shape. I wanted the face to remain clear inside it, with the red accessories keeping their place above the portrait. The hair is a big part of recognising the character, so it needed room in the keyboard rug design.
I make each piece by hand from premium acrylic yarn. Once the tufting is done, I carefully finish around the eyes, hair sections and red details. The small boundaries need to stay defined so the portrait keeps its familiar expression in the soft surface.
Zero Two's pink hair makes the portrait feel familiar almost at once. I wanted the rug to keep her face close, with the small red details still there to enjoy. If you're making space for the characters you care about, she can join the things you use every day. The approximate size is 45 × 16 cm, intended as a wrist rest in front of your keyboard. Check your available space before ordering. A small mouse rug can be selected separately as an extra.
